Granville is working to:
Let Progress Continue!
- For several terms prior to 2022, Clarington Council experienced frequent division on major planning and infrastructure files, which contributed to delays, deferrals, and difficulty reaching consensus on long‑term decisions.
- Since 2022, council meetings have shown more consistent alignment on major capital and growth‑related decisions, allowing long‑standing issues to move forward more efficiently.
- The Bowmanville Hospital Redevelopment advanced through key planning, design, and coordination milestones after years of limited movement, supported by clearer municipal direction. Less disruption meant a more effective council at work.
- The Bowmanville GO Train Extension progressed with corridor upgrades, bridge work, and station‑area planning, following a period where the project’s timeline had remained uncertain.
-Transportation bottlenecks - including South Courtice congestion and the Highway 401/Bowmanville Avenue interchange moved forward in planning and design after years of being identified as priority issues without substantial advancement.

"I have had the opportunity to work with Granville Anderson who worked to move Durham Region forward in many ways. Granville was a leader in supporting the budget for the South Bowmanville Sports Complex, expansion of Broadband in rural areas to meet the Covid-19 challenges of conducting business and learning online, expanded cycle trails to meet climate change targets, and funded the development of a new cricket pitch to recognize the diversity in recreational infrastructure. As MPP, Durham Region is now benefiting from the completion of the 407 extension, the expansion of Bowmanville Hospital, and the creation of Hospice Bowmanville. Granville’s leadership was also recognized when he was appointed the Deputy Mayor of Clarington. It is without reservation that I recommend Granville Anderson as the perfect choice to the Regional Councillor for wards 1 & 2 in the upcoming Municipal Elections."
